Choosing a Sleep System
Since before the inception of “Specialty Sleep Shops” Conway furniture has been a leader in supplying quality sleep systems to south western Ontario. At Conway Furniture we want to help you find a sleep system that will provide you with many nights of restful sleep, trouble free and at competitive prices. Like the good merchants we are, we have researched the bedding markets to find what we feel are the best values available. We do not use inflated retail pricing to show drastic discounts but give a fair price every day. Because of our buying power we can, from time to time, negotiate special savings which we will pass along to you our valued customers, so please check with us as to the best prices at any given time.
You can not buy a bed without lying down on it.
A bed (and a pillow) are very personal choices and there are very subtle differences between firm beds that reading about will not illustrate. Do your research on-line but please plan on coming in to “rest drive” the beds. Our knowledgeable sales associates are not on commission and can help you make the right choice.
Don’t be mislead by coil counts.
There are a lot of technologies in today’s sleep systems and many of them have no coils at all. Coil counts are worth comparing within a company but variations in gauge and tensile strength make strict counting less than informative.
Brand names are important.
Apart from cutting your new bed open, there is no way to tell what is in it. You need to trust the companies that you are buying from to provide what they say they are providing. At Conway Furniture we only do business with established companies who have an investment in their reputations and are committed to customer satisfaction.
Conway has a 30 day comfort guarantee.
It is a difficult decision to pick a bed. When you purchase a sleep system from Conway, and purchase (and use) a Teflon treated mattress pad from us, you have 30 days to make sure you’ve made the right decision. Keep in mind it does take some time for your body to adjust to a new sleep surface. We can certainly help get the right mattress from the start.

1. Spinal Guard Tight Top Firm – King Koil - $599

This model is great for spare rooms, children’s room or cottage. This is not the cheapest bed available in the market but it is as low as Conway is prepared to go, based on our minimum quality and performance standards. Great value.
2. Celestial Cushion Firm Euro top – King Koil - $799
608 (queen) Chiro-guard continuous coils
For a small amount more you can drastically increase coil count. Continuous coil mattresses have one long strand of thinner gauge wire running through the entire bed (hence continuous). This drastically reduces the chances of feeling a given coil as they work together. For a cushion firm bed on a budget this is a great choice.
3. Allegro Tight Top Firm – Sealy - $899

Sealy Posturpedic has always been known for firm supporting beds and here, the tradition lives on. Posturtech coils are a unique shape to allow better conformance, have a heavy gauge of steel and are twice tempered for extra strength. A great firm bed on a budget.

The pocket coil construction limits motion transfer between sleep partners and conforms to the contours of your back. This is Conway’s starting pocket coil and a wonderfully plush feel, all at a modest price.

Everyone knows the bowling ball adds! Simmons pocket coils limit the motion transfer between sleep partners and provide a sleep surface that conforms to the contours of your back. There is a lot of technology in a Simmons bed but it all comes down to the feel. If you have had a Simmons before you already know if not, come in and try it out. 12. Atkins Tight Top Plush/Firm – Simmons - $1599

The plush/firm offers a great compromise of support and comfort, exactly what a body needs. A heavier gauge of steel in the patented pocket coils makes this bed ideal for our full size customers but it’s still comfortable for light weights. For sleep partners of different sizes this might be the answer. Added features include a wool blend topper and a visco (memory) foam comfort layer.

The Elevation has a lighter gauge of steel for a more contouring surface and super plush foams for unsurpassed comfort. Although you will always see some compression of the foams where you lay, the quality foams used by Simmons do minimize this appearance issue, very important in a plush bed.
