This hardwood dining table is made in Ontario (near Guelph) from local Ontario/Quebec Ambrosia Maple (meaning wormy maple). This table is made by hand by local mennonite and amish craftspeople using time-tested methods - then taken to an advanced finishing facility in Guelph where it is stained and finished with a process that leaves it far stronger than traditional finishing methods would be able to. The result is a beautifully smooth and silky finish that highlights the character and natural variation of the hardwood.
